“I had been struggling with menopause symptoms and wanted to begin to feel fitter and stronger again. I was prone to injury due to weakness in my muscles and wanted to begin to fix this to help future proof my joints. I had been worried about weight training in the past as I thought I would begin to look too big and muscular.

I have found the sessions really enjoyable. I love that I have constant guidance and supervision from the coaches here, this helps give me the confidence to push myself. “I was feeling overweight with low energy and lots of aches and pains. I didn’t think that there was much that I do about it at my age! I was also worried that I wouldn’t be  able to do anything ‘proper’ in the gym as I have never done any type of weight training before. I was also concerned about fitting gym sessions into my crammed schedule.

The coaches worked really hard to make sure that all exercises are tailored specifically to me in each session and have been very encouraging right from the start, which built up my confidence to keep on trying and improving.

Working on my diet and some other areas has been really helpful too – the Accountability Sessions were an important start to my journey and I am thrilled to have lost almost 9kg in my first 3 months.
